• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I just did something I never thought I would do....

Well...I just did something that I never thought I would do. I said, "Good Bye" to a dear old friend that I have had for the past decade. Since that last of May I have spent all of my free time on my ST Limited. My 2003 Anniversary Edition Electraglide has sat in our garage without being ridden much. I finally got on it last week. The thrill was gone. I sold it this morning. I loved that bike so much and thought it was the perfect bike for me.....until I rode the Spyder...... Jill

Bitter sweet..!!

Always sad to let go...but if you loved it you did the right thing. It should be ridden and not stored. You have the pic's and memories and thats what counts.. So ryde on and wave when you pass her on the road.!!

 It's tough saying "goodbye" to an old friend...
Here's to hoping that the new owner will pile some serious miles on it for you! :2thumbs:

It was hard last year to say good buy to my GW of 19 years.

But I know I would not ride her again and did not wish for her to rust in the garge. It is hard but I have photo of her.

Decisions, Decisions

I'm kinda going through the same thing. After getting My RT, my VTX 1800 has been sitting more than being ridden. I got on it the other day, and the comparison to the Spyder was just ..... well, no way to compare. I did ride the Honda to work this morning, leaving the Spyder parked at home. Still the VTX is fun to ride, but I'm thinking about it ..... the big sale. Maybe !! :sour:

Same thing for me. There have been a few bikes that I was sad to see go down the driveway being ridden by someone new.

Bikes

Like I always say......you never miss what you never had. If you always do what you always did you'll always have what you always had. I haven't lost an old friend but.....I found a new one.:yes::2excited:nojoke

I've missed a few of mine ...
Afew do stand out
A little Kawi 250cc two-stroke triple...
My Gold Wing Interstate
There was this Honda TransAlp that was pretty funky...
and a GB500 too!
But I remember the good times that I had on them, and look forward to the new good times that I'm still going to have! :2thumbs:

Bob,.......Please don't go there,

Bill

Nope, it was a Cb750c, Very squirrely bike, Lost it back in the 70's on the Corkscrew out of the Lincoln Tunnel ''Ouch''. Still have a bone sticking out of my elbow .
Why what were you thinking...?:roflblack:

Sorry, but I couldn't let my '98 Springer go. Put too much elbow grease and miles on her. Oh, the places we've been!

Can't ride her anymore, but Hubby loves to ride her. Still feel a twinge seeing someone else on her, but she needs to be exercised.

The only thing that made my Springer look better, is me on her....
