• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I have often wondered WHY we don't do this - - - -

Because we have too many "important" people in our Government that feel it is politically incorrect.

This seems more than a logical method to reduce the level of terrorism in the world. Why the US, Europe, Japan, China (they probably do!), etc., don't do this is beyond me:

Because we are a country of laws. Starting down this slippery slope could lead to someone suggesting SpyderLovers be blacked out. You never can tell where stuff will lead.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

I would think spreading Jihadism, terrorism, etc., is not covered by the First Amendment, just like yelling 'FIRE' in a crowd.

Just my 2 cents worth - - -

But then some in the government want to label ex-military and 2nd Amendment supporters as possible terrorists. :yikes:

Its pretty simple why the US does not want to eliminate ISIS....same reason gubberment does not want to eliminate our drug problem... there is too much money to be made by enforcing & incarceration.....

When the govermnet get in the business of banning things, it usually goes way off the mark.
long time ago, Speedometers on vehicles could not read more then 85 MPH. All kinds of crashes because people did not know if they were going 100 , 125 or whatever. I know you are not supposed to going thaat fast, but I have

Rear wheel steering on motorcycles. EPA demanded it, but AMA fought it and won.

3 Wheel ATV's, Banned by the goverment. If you learned to ride them and their quirks, they were fine. How about Honda CB 750 engine in a three ATV.
I think it was EPA, but could have others, Not motorcyle with over 50 HP.

Toy wooden game, trucks made by "Grandpa", banned unles they go thru a multi million test cycle for lead paint.
Now as as far as ISIS, their is only one answer and it is not jail

Aren't these websites spewing HATE? Isn't spreading HATE illegal in America?

Joe T.

Don't you think the gov't monitors internet chatter for upcoming terrorists activities, amongst other things?

Yes, I obviously do. That is the ONLY reason these sites continue to exist. But, I think the trade-off is not in America's favor. There are other methods to track terrorists - HUMINT, as the military likes to call it.

If you really want to see stuff that is guaranteed to make you angrier than a hornet nest at a pinayta party, research the deep web and the dark web. Stuff there is REALLY bad...it comes straight out of hell.

Interestingly the primary method of getting there is through TOR (if you want to know what that is, Google it.). TOR was created and is still financed by the U.S. Dept. Of State. The argument the State Dept uses is that TOR provides communication mechanism for dissidents in repressive countries. You can find anything you can imagine there. Anything--even worse than what you are thinking right now.

This was used by Snoeden to steal secret documents, by drug dealers, killers for hire, human trafficking, and stuff far more depraved than that. If our government supports something like this, then how could it outlaw terrorist web sites? (That question was not meant to be answered.)
