• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I HATE WINTER

I have learned to make do with what I am given. Lot's less stress that way. I do summer things and winter things, so am able to survive. :roflblack:

Overall, regardless of where I would live, this is really good rules to live by.

You know.... I dislike winter... today I had to mow the lawn and pull weeds in the flower garden
so the flowers look nice and it was freezing cold..... I don't think it even got up to 68 today...
come on summer hurry up and get here.

You know as much as you guys in the north, think that were joking about winter, we're really bitching about wearing a sweatshirt in the winter.
In my house we call that a "first world problem"

Hello from chilly Minnesnowta.....brrrrrrr

Here's our forecast....for those who live in warm climates in the winter and can ryde.....ryde some miles for me as well! You are very fortunate! We may be moving "south" for the winter in a year or two! Hope it's sooner than later!

In all fairness....I have to tell you I was born in UTAH and raised there until I was 17
I had all the winter I would ever want in those 17 years, I told myself get out of this
God forsaken place and find the sunshine, I joined the Navy and was stationed in....
Jacksonville, NC- Charlston SC- Key West FL.. I spent many warm fun days before Castro
in Cuba... wow I guess that dates me... Yea I'm an ole guy now...
As a kid I had all the Sleigh riding, Skiing, and SNOW stuff I could take.... still hate it...
Hey but on the up side my wife is a avid skier...

Saw a real interesting twist on the subject in yesterdays local news.

They had some tourists visiting Anchorage over the weekend. Guess where they were from? Hawaii. :yikes::yikes:

A lot of Alaskans bail to Hawaii. At the moment, if I lived there, I would not even think of going somewhere where it was cold and dark. Of course, I no longer cross country ski, don't snowmobile, or even ice fish. :roflblack:

AKman... I hope your struggles with Seasonal Adaptive Disorder are not too bad this year. At least you are now one week past the hump.

I told myself get out of this God forsaken place and find the sunshine,
God forsaken????? I thought that was God's home, you know, in the big stone and marble building in SLC! I live on his doorstep, in Idaho.

Spent 15 years in Louisiana. Took an '81 Goldwing down there in 1991 when we moved from Illinois. Sold it three years later and went bikeless for 12 years. Told folks back home in Idaho I had no problem with the idea of sweating while working or exercising, but sweating while I was RIDING a motorcycle????? :banghead: One of my biggest worries was in March and April when I thought I was going to wear out the thermostat switching it back and forth between heat and cool!! :( Told the folks when I was getting ready to retire that I was going back home to Idaho where summer is summer and winter is winter and the two don't get mixed up together!
