• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I hate em!!!

I test rode the F3 today and all of a sudden I'm €3000 lighter in my deposit pocket!

What a fab machine. I test rode the RT last year and found it ok apart from the cornering but this thing, WOW!

I'm hoping to take delivery in August and feel a pile of farkles coming!

Just wondering...... how much in US dollars is 3000, I am guessing that is euros...

:congrats: on your new F3. Based on what we are hearing from other "victims," you are going to like it a lot.

Warning, warning, warning--bring your wallet to the test drive. :roflblack:

First: 1euro = 1.1USD

So it bit you then, Ant!
Yes! It's happened to us all. There is no immunity and nowhere to hide from the memory of your first ride!
I bought mine blind. Ordered it in October and put a large deposit down, my Spyder RS-S!!
One thing's for sure....it'll change your leisure life!

:congrats:....:welcome:

Except for the cornering :gaah::gaah::gaah:......Well that's because you haven't been on My RT ....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.....Mike

I was bitten by the F3 as well. Had no intentions of owning one....Until I took a BRP Demo ride. I was whootin and hollerin like a high school kid.

Pitbull sold me a new F3 the same day and we were 700 miles from home. They bite that hard with a lethal venom.

Been under its spell ever since. And yes, the F3 corners MUCH better than even a modified RT.

Congrats on your new ride. It just get better. A wonderful bike if it fits you.

congrats!

I came to the F3 from a Honda interceptor, so I wonder what the difference is between gen 1 Spyders and the F3.

@ Mr. Hawk.
Go to your dealer when your bike is being serviced and ask him if he has a 998 (GS RS ST RT)
you can ride.....that will answer your question.

One more cylinder, 332 more cc's. Sits lower to the ground. Smoother, quieter, and better handling is mentioned.

Ah... you are suffering from "Aranea prius amore". I bought mine before I even rode one. I saw the pictures and read the specs and pretty much screamed:

I traded in my 2010 RS-S (kind of gen. 1.5) for the F3 and one thing I sure don't miss is hanging half my butt off of the seat to make a fast tight turn.

I can't stop riding the bloody thing, I even gave up on a few beers tonight to go out in the blazing evening sunshine before it goes back tomorrow.

There are a few small niggles like the wonky plastic bit around the ignition switch, the vibration at 125KPH, the way the handle bars hit the tank when on full lock, the way the passenger pegs keep falling down but hey, most of those are easily solved.

I think I read here that weighting the pegs makes the bike corner better and that sure is true. i took it out tonight and followed a well used route that I take on the bike and it didn't fall far short on its cornering capabilities.

Ok so its not as quick as the bike (kawasaki GTR1400) but hey, I didn't expect it to compete.

So,depoit paid, bike should be delivered to San Javier in August and my list of extras is starting to grow

at first i didn't care for the looks of the bike, than i went to see it in person and i really liked it, thank god i didn't feel comfortable on it because i could not afford to lose money on my rt to buy it
