There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I got the new Magic Mirror Magnest Wahooooooooo!!!

:congrats:
How did you get the magnets separated from one another?
I ended-up putting the stack of them up against a solid surface, and fighting with the top one (Left hanging out into open space...) :D

Once I had all six packs built: I picked them up into one large "magnetic pile", to carry them down to the bike...
Even with having bolts mixed in for some extra grip: it was... interesting!
I have no strength left in my hands at all anymore... :banghead:

1.Mind
2. Hearing
3. Hand Strength

Looks like you are already at #3 on deterioration list

:D I'm WAYYYY... past that, but it didn't affect the project! :roflblack:

And my hearing may have reached the "selective" category; but that's normal at this stage of a marriage.

If it was just you on this website i wouldn't have been so politically correct,i have to know my audience.

Wherre can I order these?

Received them Saturday and installed them Sunday. Took about 20 minutes to install and are they GREAT. Next to the sway bar I think these are the best investment you can spend on your Spyder. Very easy to install and had the wife check one side, with the new magnets, against the old and no comparison. Very good job inventing these. Must have for all Spyders.:clap::clap:

Bob,

I held the stack in my left hand, wrapped my right hand around the left hand, and slid each magnet off the stack with my right thumb and index finger. And hell I only have 4 fingers on that hand, if I could do it anyone can. :roflblack: I kept all my built stacks way, way from each other. Even when they were 2 feet from each other, moving one would move the others. I have worked with neodymium magnets before and have great respect for them. I could tell about what a nice blood blister you can get if you let 2 of them get too close together with your skin in the way! :banghead:

Just putting this out there to see if it can help others with their installation. :dontknow:

When we're doing installs of these Magic Mirror Mounts, we firstly strip the mirrors off the Spyder, then do all the removal stuff, fit the petals to the mirrors, & basically get everything ready to go before starting on the magnets. Then, laying out all the necessary screws & washers so we don't hafta fumble them out of a pack or look for the next washer in amongst all the rest, we hold the packed magnet roll in one hand & slide one magnet off at a time in just the way you described SpyderCruiser, and as that magnet comes off the roll, quickly hold the released magnet out at arms length while we put the rest of the roll into our 'other side' pocket.... might look a bit odd, but the magnets won't clack together again! Once the rest of the packed magnet roll is out of harms way, we assemble the separated magnet & its screws, washers etc & install it before starting on the next magnet. Once all your magnets are mounted, you are ready to connect the mirror wiring (& a tether if you feel you have to), tuck the wiring down the mouse hole, & click the mirrors into place - there you are, all set!!

That way, you don't hafta worry about the magnets contacting others ever - we learnt quickly that assembling all the magnet posts before installing any was fraught with risk, so now we just do them one at a time with the remainder of the packed magnet roll in your 'non-dominant hand' side pocket & you shouldn't have any problems. So give it a go - Assemble a magnet post, then immediately mount it onto your Spyder before stripping the next magnet off the packed magnet roll. This works to minimise the risk of magnets falling or flying around the place, & it means you only ever hafta separate each magnet from the others the ONCE! :2thumbs:

Sure, you can do yours any way you like; the above method is just that we've learnt is safest while installing a fair few more than just the one! ;) And whichever way you get them installed, once they are on, you'll be able to enjoy your Mirror Magics just like the rest of us - no more floppy mirrors or busted placcy pellets or clips! Enjoy! :ohyea::yes:

Installed mine today, no real problems and I LOVE THEM. Hell, I want to just go keep taking them off. Will never dread any work anymore that requires removing mirrors first. Definitely a +1 on great design. I'm sure they will evolve a bit over time but they are great. Didn't really have a problem separating the magnets from the stack except when I got to the last 2. What I did then was just use a screw in 1 magnet hole and used it as a lever to pry it off and came right off.

Thanks Russ and all testers, etc for a great product.

thanks for the post steve
i love mine too.....I enjoy doing how to vids because it gives me an excuse to take them off again.....as soon as I see another rt I bail him up and knock my mirrors off for him:roflblack:
maybe I need to get a life:popcorn:

:D :agree: One of my mirror-mounted turnsignal indicators isn't blinking, and I'm actually looking forward to removing the mirror in order to investigate it! :2thumbs:

Received mine today...well, maybe was yesterday but did not check the mail as we were on tornado watch so just stayed in.

Already installed them, and I'll join the chorus of well done, and add some advice. Definitely watch the You Tube install videos, piece of cake if you do. The levering video to separate the magnets was especially helpful.

Good job, Russ, a definite must for the RT.

On Order and Shipped -- Do Have a Question

I have Spyderpops mirror LEDs on my 2016 RT ... the "power bridge" connector is attached with Velcro to the inside of the mirror housing (it sits in a "well" in the housing between to of the pins. Has any one installed their Magic Mirrors with this sort of setup -- the "power bridge" cannot be simply tucked inside the mirror or bike because of the way the LEDs are connected.

Just curious.

Thanks .... Ann

I don't have a power bridge but I do have a spare key velcroed to the inside of the mirror between two pins. No interference from it installing the magnets. I'd say if there is no interference now there won't be after. The magnets don't occupy much more space at all than the OEM pin.

Location of Spare Key with Magic Mirrors

I would think about putting the key anywhere the magnets. It has some type of a chip in it that may be affected by the magnets (3) in close proximity to it.
Just a thought .

This is a non-chip key that is used to get to the tools and trunk to get to the real spare key!

if the mirror closed before then it will close after magnets are fitted
the real question is will the bridge fit between the magnets?
the magnets have a radius of 1/2 inch
