• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

So- picked up my 2018 Spyder RT and riding home - love it!!!!
Now can anyone tell me how to hook my iPhone to BRP CONNECT- nothing is working

Congrats!
BRP connect is a little touchy and a constant point of frustration for many.
You have to connect from the USB dongle in the "dash" compartment to the iphone. Launch the BRP Connect app from your phone(download it if you haven't) and launch BRP Connect.
I'm guessing, you're trying to connect for music only. If so, I prefer connecting via Bluetooth and bypassing the app for music.
If you're trying to utilize the other functions of the app, then follow the instructions regarding using the app on the phone.

Just in case I'm incorrect with my above statements,

https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1...ml?page=34&term=brp+connect&selected=5#manual

Search in the manual above.

After you get home an catch your breath, we need a FULL report. And.....PICTURES!!! Can't help you with BRP Connect. I understand it has a steep learning curve..... Jim

Kahamom, I wouldn’t be trying to connect your phone to BRPC at this early stage. There are so many gotchas……even an incorrect cable can catch you out.
I would suggest you apply for membership of the BRP CONNECT USER GROUP in Facebook and ask your question there. They have a wealth of knowledge.

……and congratulations on your new ride……have a safe trip home.

And we are not any good????:lecturef_smilie::cheers: Or a wealth of knowledge????

Congrats, you've got a great machine... except for BRP connect. Make your life easy, mount your phone, get a good bluetooth speaker system for your helmet, and take advantage of the many apps available and a system that will work rather well (instead of battling your Spyder on a daily basis).

:welcome:
on the 2018 if you want direct connect, you have to attach to usb cord in frunk (front trunk). As others have said, it is much easier connecting using Bluetooth by synching your phone to the dash. I have an Iphone and play music flawlessly through bluetooth. you can control it through the round toggle button on your left switch cluster. Congrats new Spyder Lover. :congrats:

Congratulations, I have a 2018 RTL also. The only way for me to learn the BRP connect was to see it used, so I suggest youtube. Just search BRP connect tutorial and there are some good videos to help you. Like you heard there is a steep learning curve and you might end up going to bluetooth which is certainly easier, but give it a try.

:roflblack: you are a wealth of knowledge on your own, Mikey …….but specialist groups always have that little bit more to offer……I do notice that there has been only ONE response on Kahamom”s question on this thread though. :2thumbs:
