• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I finally got them!

The best combination is find two that fit the bolt and nut, then put one in one hand and the other in the other hand and twist in opposite directions. :roflblack: :roflblack:

I'm just kind of looking for advice as to what size ratchets can get up under there, and get the job done with the least amount of bloodshed..
A 3/8" with what length, (if any!), extension? :dontknow:

I absolutely cannot afford to get busted again! There's an Ultimate seat under the tree for me at Christmas Time if I don't get caught...

Shock reloclators

A 3/8 drive socket, a short (2") extension and a universal joint in addition to the open end wrenchs. If i remember rightly the left side was harder than the right there is a piece bebhinf the reloctor that makes it difficult to insert the bolt but it can be temporarrily deformed by hand to push it in. The rest of the job is just wrench turning. Someone else said to tighten up the bolts after all are in that is very good advice. Call me if you get stuck and I can help talk you thru it.:spyder2:

Just go into "Stealth Farkle Mode" at 1 am. It works for me :thumbup: Now if the UPS guy and mailman would get with the program and deliver before 5pm when the boss gets home :pray:. I am going to be in hot water because of them next month when my wife goes to midnights 3 days a week...what to do,what to do? I guess I will just have to get EVERYTHING done before then :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

A couple of installation questions

Just got my Pit bull Re-locators for my Spyder RT 2010 Model here in the UK

Not sure if anyone has asked this before

Are they designed to fit on either side as they don't appear to be marked either LHS or RHS

Which way should the bolts go in - Heads on the outside nuts on the inside or does it not matter as long as both sides are the same

No instructions came with them - I know there is a video and have watched it - Anyone have a hard copy if they exists of any installation instructions with step by step pictures as it's difficult to watch the video whilst working under the front funk - At least I can hold up a paper copy just to double check the installation as I go

I hope that by now you have done the deed. I found on my RS (2009/10) that it was a piece of cake except that my front spring units are not standard. There is no advantage in working with the "frunk" in place. On the RS it requires 6, 6mm bolts to be undone, removal of the cable to the lock and removal of the computer plug from its recess (after you have taken off the 2 side panels and the side pods for the lights (on my "Euro" model)), unplug the sensor on the right and the horn on the left and remove the headlight bulbs. A 30 Torx and a power driver makes it so much faster. You may need a uni-socket for the two central 6 mm bolts on the top. Basically 10 minutes on and off for the frunk. Once the frunk is off, it is all in front of you. In my case I have Fournales units, which use no springs, but do use very high pressure air, and their valve sits on the top eye and fouls the Pitbull machined pocket. I was able to use a porting tool to relieve the pocket and give clearance. This was the only complication. It was time consuming, noisy and required a bit of improvisation to check the degree of rotation / deflection over the full range of movement of the suspension (just under 20 degrees in the original position). There is less rotation with the new position. I am still evaluating the effect of the kit; but clearly firms up spring rate and raises the front end so that I no longer grind away the plastic bash plate on my drive.
 
Based upon your explanation of the installation process; I'm going to need at least a WEEK to get them nailed into place! :yikes:
