• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

i got up this morning st 5:00 so I could ryde. I went 100 miles through canyons, passed by a herd of wild burros, drove by a stream, crossed an old fashioned trestle train bridge, stopped for coffee, and was home by 10:30. The temp was about 80 when I left at 5:30, and about 97 when I got home. By the way, I live about 40 miles West of Palm Springs, Cal. It got to 106 today....I hate this weather.

Cool is nice..!!

but ryding is better and regardless of the temp we ryde. We stay away from traffic when possible and start into the hill coming out on the coast. Look for the cooler temp high up and on the coast. But that's us just go..!! :ohyea:

I'm with you on the cooler temps!!! Here in Dallas we are still hitting 100 just about every day and Saturday was 106. I would like to ride to work but I'm not going to set in traffic for over an hour in 100 degree heat with the heat of the bike and other cars to go along with it...:(

Me too! Me too! Me too!

Come on up! :roflblack: We can offer you mid 50's by day, low 40's by night, some nice cool rain and leaves turning and falling down. It's only going to get "better" as the next three weeks or so go by. I expect some snow by the second week in October--if the pattern holds.

:shocked: Snow in OCTOBER??? :yikes: These next two Months are the best time for riding around here...
...snow in October... :gaah::gaah::cus::gaah::gaah:

I just want to point out that the weather here in NY has been great for weeks, with a couple rainy days mixed in. And that I am riding at least 200 miles a week, not counting the weekend joyrides. I seem to recall several people complaining about the winter here and several more bragging about their great riding weather in the SW. I guess what goes around, comes around.

Just sayin'............

I also can not wait ! Its still over 100 every day here and I am dying. :mad: And this year it came with humidity . Bring on the frosty 68 degree days of winter. I am jealous of the cool weather Spyderlovers. (until November)

Yep! That is when the party starts in our area. It will soon be time to park the :spyder2:'s for the big sleep and hook up the battery tenders. I ryde until my road gets covered with ice and snow. In 2011 I put them away on 10/9, 2012 on 10/5, 2013 ???

Start up in 2011 was 3/3, 2012 4/27, and 2013 was 4/20. Not that I'm counting or anything like that. :roflblack:

How is the :spyder2: with snow on the roads?

When snow gets on the roads, I park it. The :spyder2: was not designed for operation on snow or ice (owners manual) and I go by that. There have been some that purchased studded tires (my dealer included--the first year) and done the winter thing--but not me. Ever went down an icy highway with big SUV's sliding all over the place on each side, and on your front and rear quarters? I know what I am going to do, but you cannot count on others. That is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyy to much fun for me. I would like to live to drive another day. :thumbup::roflblack:

You had a nice, early start in 2011... :thumbup:
Here's to hoping that your 2014 riding season shows up early again! :cheers:
