• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am now Spyderless

Well, somehow I missed this back in February, so I'm late to the party. I, too, am coming to that time when I will be taking my last ride. I am very sorry to hear of your situation, but I completely understand. Most of my riding friends have quit, gotten too old, sick, or just plain passed on. I really do hope you hang around and raz us a bit now and again and tell us the occasional story of your past riding times.

67 now... so hopefully quite a few miles left on Spyders... but when the time comes, will replace with a Corvette and then a really fast spiffy mobility chair with headers and racing stripes! Blessings to everyone no matter where on life's timeline you are.

Pete I bought my first Spyder in 2008 and have traded several times. Twice I have given it up due to lack of riding frequency. But both times, a year or two later I got a new Spyder and loved it again. The last time, I sold my 2020 RT in '23 for lack of riding and quit for good.

Fast forward 1.5 years and my wife and I talked about how, even though I don't have an iron butt any more, we both missed even the short rides of around 1 to 2 hours, but still no to another Spyder. So two months later, I was in my dealer getting a UTV serviced and saw the new Canyon.

I discussed it with my wife, test drove it, felt like a kid again on my 125 Enduro, and now we are doing coffee or BBQ rides twice a week to neighboring small towns. I always kept my helmets and gear! I think my times off, even though I thought they were for ever, just made coming back so fun. So keep you gear because just like the Waco Kid you never know when you might want to put it back on again. Now we are just waiting for the bigger windshield that we ordered to arrive. ha!

72 here, hoping to keep riding for at least another 10 years...
