• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am beginning to notice a trend in the posts...

I've gotta say, out of all the forums I am and have been a member of, the people on here have been the most helpful by far. The only thing that really bothers me are the people that post a tech question, but never, ever respond on whether they fixed the issue. It really sucks when you find someone that had the same problem you had, but you have no idea what the outcome was. Grrr....!
:D

You're observations are correct. This board like all the other major boards do suffer from growing pains. The small boards normally are quite docile and polite. Information is freely exchanged and accepted. The membership is usually comprised of those eager to supply meaningful and technical help. However as the board grows a core group mentality takes charge. The original experts are drummed out and what is left is a sort of cult driven by advertisers and those in it for profit. And the moderators and site owners are also driven by the cash cow of advertisers. Any meaningful information that contradicts the advertisers is dealt with harshly again another expert is quickly banished from the site under the weak excuse of "trolling"
These large sites are not run for your benefit but in fact run for and by those who put profits above helpfulness. If you desire real information and honest humanity - go to the smaller boards which are not run by the advertisers and for profiteers.

BTW this is my first post and for sure the last as this will be deleted almost immediately by the moderators - free speech does not apply here

Odd that your first post is to tell us you don't like us. Good-bye!

Great opportunity for an oil question..

What is oil and where is it used on a Spyder?

I like Canola oil; it makes my fries tastier!
And I use it on the Spyder; I'll eat the fries, while sitting in the saddle! :roflblack:

I have found this site to be in large very respectful and helpful. Since we are all part of a larger Brotherhood of Bikers then let's remember to treat other with respect.:doorag:
