Well... I needed a new phone, so I retired the blackberry for the latest Droid phone from HTC ....
I'll tell you.... After playing with this for part of the day, I really think I could leave the laptop at home on my next spyder trip (provided I don't need to work).
That would gain me some more room in my Givi's but also save me some weight.
I still think my Garmin makes for a much better, easier to see GPS, but the Droid would make for a nice back up NAV device.
If you haven't checked out a droid... I highly suggest it if you are struggling with ways to stay connected while touring. I was about to step down to one of my 12" laptops for the bike, or even get a netbook to save space.
This thing is awesome... Battery life isn't all that great, but I haven't put it down much since I activated it.
