• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Howdy Do Neighbors..

New RT SM6 owner and new to Spyder all together..Just figured I' d wave a hand and introduce myself...from South Mississippi and new to the 3 wheeled world and so far I am enjoying it more than I thought I would....

Been on 2 wheels for years and had to make a difficult choice of leaving my wife at home or going to 3 wheels..Back is worn out and holding up a bike was getting to be too much 2-up...Wife still wanted to travel with me so I researched 3 wheels and after a year + of waiting for the new 3 cyl 6 speed RT to go on sale.........it did.....$5000+ off....so here I am...............I must say, I am not disappointed..

Picked it up a week ago and after a laser alignment taken care of under warranty I am very happy and so is She...Not as good on gas as we are used to but the comfort and ease of riding along with the added storage and better trailer towing capabilities far outweigh the negative..Only time will tell on reliability but we are set for the long haul and will find out..

This will be our final toy, good or bad, and I still have about 25 states to fill in on my ride map to have the mainland 49 covered and plan to do it on this scoot....

I will be rigging my Garmin 50 to a $70 ball mount and doing my own wiring, adding a cup holder, putting the $230 hitch on it and doing my own 5 to 4 wire conversion trailer light harness..along with adding the highway peg kit and I believe those are all the mods I need and got em all figured out already..... but..... that won' t mean I won't have a question or 2 along the way, most of them already answered on other threads.............

So.................. Howdy all!!.....I will likely be more of a lurker looking for ideas round here but just wanted to be a good neighbor and wave a hand......This looks like a great forum for Spyder riders from what I have already seen...... DC1....

Welcome to the club. This is a great site with many knowledgeable people who can answer most questions. Also, there is a great deal of humour thrown in. Enjoy. :coffee:

Hardy welcome..

..you will be requested to attach a photo of your new ride, so be prepared for that ;)
Enjoy the new experience - maybe you can make it to Spyderfest?

Sorry about the "Dislike". Just a case of fat fingers this morning.
Welcome to the family. It sounds like you have a good handle on what you want from your new toy. Enjoy!

You will certainly enjoy your new Spyder. When it is time to go to three wheels, it's the only logical choice. Fast as you want and highly maneuverable:yes:. Have fun.

You need to check out Spyderfest at the end of April in Springfield Missouri it really is a great time with about 1500 other Spyder riders.

Welcome

Welcome to the the :spyder2: world here in the sunny south.
Hope you'll love it as much as I love mine.

Welcome from the Left coast, sounds like we may be hitting you up for info as well. I'm also a new switch over from the 2 wheel world for the fast 50 years and the last 14 on a HD. Legs and neuropathy in my feet forced me to go to 3 wheels. Was 2up as well, but girlfriend wanted her own HD, but we did a demo ryde Can Am had in 09 and I decided a Spyder was just the ticket for her based on the smile factor. Bought her a RSS in 2011 and I just bought myself the F3-S. She is now waiting for her F3 to come in next week, to complete her trade in. Please post pictures of your new tow, and again welcome!![emoji113]

Welcome to the "More Smiles Per Mile" club, there are several really smart folks on this site that I and several others call on from time to time for advice, feel free to use them, they love it.

Will be passing thru Ms. On our way to Bike Week in Florida on March 10, we will wave if we see you on the road.

:welcome: to the party. :congrats: on your new ride.

The :spyder2: is a great ride for those that can no longer horse the big and heavy stuff around.

As you get broken in (5000 miles or so), you should find your mileage in the 39 - 41 mpg range ballpark. That is actually an improvement over the previous versions, which averaged around 31 mpg.

Hope you enjoy your ride. And yes, there are a lot of people here that can answer most any question you may have.

A big HOWDY right back at you. You sure did pick the best CanAm Spyder to start out your three wheel adventures on.

 To many many miles of smiles :ohyea:
