• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I see several people rave about the BAJARON sway bar but curious if just the satisfied ones are the outspoken group. Voting is anonymous. Otherwise feel free to comment what u like/dislike about it:2thumbs:

I voted "love it on my ST" to test the poll but I do not have one
I had mine installed for $296.95, plus the cost of the bar, so I have to love it for that kind of $$

swaybar instalation

How big a job is it to install this swaybar? Looks to me like you need to remove a lot of stuff off my 2014 rt-s. $295 plus $3oo for the bar is quit pricey . Have any of you boys done this yourself? How long did it take you ?

Many have installed it themselves. Sounds like a few hours and from what I have seen gaining access and lifting the bike high enough of the ground is the tough part. Evidently it needs to be 24"off the ground to allow sufficient space the remove and replace the bar

Buyer Beware!

I have been very hesitant on telling this story but saw the thread and thought i would share. I drove my 2008 #115 RS from Buffalo NY to spyderfest 2013. I wanted to get a a Bajaron swaybar. Pitbull had no more RS swaybars but the lady from there said she had an RT swaybar on hers and had no problems and an RT will fit on an RS. So i had the RT one put on. Well on our ride home it was very windy and i was riding behind a cemi truck. I went to pass the cemi and i got a huge gust of wind. The rear end of the spyder kicked out and i almost lost it. I rear end went from side to side but i was able to recover. I have driven all over the country and never had anything like this happen before. So i called bajaron. I didnt tell him my story at first. I started by just asking him the difference between the RS and RT swaybar and what could happen if i put an RT one on an RS. He said the RT one is stiffer for heavier machine. With it being stiifer it could make the rear end kick out. I said thats funny b/c thats what happened to me. I then proceeded to tell him the story. He was very nice and said and told me to call Pittbull to get an exchange. I called Pittbull and told them the story. They were reluctent but sent me an RS one after i sent them the RT one. I have not had any problems since but am very skidish driver now. I thought i would share. Has anyone ever heard of someones rear end kicking out?

i feel for you man! i had mine installed for $60.00!! with the heim links! (also cost of bar and links was on top of this) $269.00 for a half hour job seems ridiculous.nojoke

Along with my custom seat, the addition of my BajaRon Sway Bar made an enormous difference in handling and high performance driving. The old set up was really loose and cushy, the new one is tight and dialed in. (I probably don't need the encouragement to drive on the edge so much!):doorag:

That's about what I was charged for installation as well ($60) while having my other annual service done. $269 seems very, very high.

This is unfortunate. I am very sorry to hear this. It takes a skilled technician about 30 minutes to do this job. Some dealerships are under the mistaken impression that the Front Trunk needs to be removed to do this install. This is not only a waste of time (taking it off and putting it back on), but makes the install much more expensive than it needs to be.

I do not know if this was the reason for the high cost. But most dealerships charge 1 to 1.5 hrs. labor. So you look at the posted hourly shop labor price and if they want more than 1.5 hrs. to do a sway bar install then you should ask them why.

In response to Venym's post. The only thing I would like to say here is PLEASE install the correct bar kit for your year and model Spyder. If you do this you will have excellent results. I make different bar kits because different model Spyders require it. Otherwise, I'd just make 1 bar for all model Spyders.

Putting an RT bar on an RS, RSS, ST, etc., is not good. It is too stiff for these models. It can have very negative effects.

Too much of a good thing can be a bad thing. If you ride conservatively you may be able to get away with an RT bar on an ST. But if you ride in the rain, ride aggressively, or ever have to make an abrupt evasive maneuver you will probably get a surprise that you won't like.

If you ever have any doubts or questions, please contact me. It is very important to both of us that you get the correct product and are happy with the results.

I have the BajaRon swaybar on my 2009 RS/GS and it made a huge difference, looking at the shock relocators next.

Swaybar and laser alignment are a good plan

I put in the swaybar on my 2013RT a year and a half ago, then last summer at SITR had the laser alignment. The swaybar helped and the alignment made it track much better. I was 400 miles from home and on the way back i noticed on there was no swerving when passing a truck or from crosswinds. It was very solid, and still is today. Yesterday i got back from the coast, about 3 hour ride, and pretty gusty winds over the coastal mountains, coming down into the central valley. it still is very solid, no problems.

First mod

Hi,

Just do it---- It really makes a difference. While your down there put on the Bump Skid plate as the stock one is pathetic.
