I doubt our Spyder could hit 8100 revs in 6th gear unless I removed the windscreen.
It wouldn't even do it then, going downhill with a tailwind. All the 1330's are speed limited. In fact they will top out at the same speed in 5th or 6th.
Sorry to have confused you, my focus was towards the 1330 not having enough power to spin 8100 revs in 6th gear. But you are correct, the engineers provided, and Can Am delivered a speed limited maximum top speed.

Well after owning a 1984 Honda V65 and 2 Triumph Rockets, what do you think?
 :firstplace:
And speaking of Triumph Rockets. Yes, I had to check those out. 2300 cc--triple three. I went to the dealer. Beautiful fire engine red. I thought, I could like this. Dealer said, "start it up." I did. I did a few blips of the throttle. The torque was so powerful that the bike actually leaned over when I did the blip. I quietly shut it off, and said, I am going to pass on this one.
AHHH! Too Bad! What's a little torque between friends?
Lamont's Boss Hoss would stand the bike up off the kickstand when he remote started it. And it leaned over quite a bit. He would park it at a restaurant where we could watch out the window. When it drew a crowd, he'd hit the start button. I'm sure there were at least a few who needed a wardrobe change after one of these episodes.
YeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. That's a great one. I love bikes with lots of torque. I was always a bit chicken to drive over 100 though. Like Clint used to say..."a man needs to know his limitations." That worked for me, and yes, I know, I have missed out on some good stuff.
I do work the throttle in the twisties, But for the most part, I ride or drive all my stuff like it's going to break. I did once own a FJR 1300, and hit the 150 mark a lot. Once I had my wife on the back at 140, and she leaned forward and asked if it will go any faster!
BTW, the best I can get the RT to go is 113 GPS verified (many times). BRP programming limits the max regardless of gear.
