• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. How to disconnect RT guages?

I want to try and disconnect my analog guages, so the digital ones will activate. I ve read several threads abiut the digital guages being more acurate. I triesd to pull oh the gyage panel this mornig, but couldn't get it of, due to bar interference. can someone please share how they removed the panel? do alll connections need to be disconnected, for the analog guages to display?
we just got back from a 400 mike day trip and my temp guag had me paranoid all day. for some reason the needle was almost touching red all day. Not sure why. Ive driven in hotther days and never had thia high of temp rading. the engine didn't seem any hotter than normal, so I'm hoping this is just a bad guage

Thanks in advance...

I turned the bars all the way to the left. once the dash binded against the bar, with just a bit of pressure from my hip, I moved the bar a small amount and the panel extracted with no issue..

Check your coolant level and your fan relay. If the analog gauge read high, the digital likely will, too. You say "near the red", did you go into limp mode, or is it just closer than you have noticed before? The Spyder will run in the upper part of the gauge on a hot day or in traffic.

In town, almost touching red and on the freeway on the upper white bar. It's been 20 degrees hotter here and it has been reading second from highest white bar and barely getting into the top white bar in town and my right foot has been frying off. My foot was pretty hot yesterday, but not frying like it has before (still waiting for the fancan)

Fan was running when we pulled into stops ans I checked coolent level before we left.

No limp mode indicated.

That was easy! Sure hate it when I miss the simple ones!

Just ran the bike till the gauge almost touched red, shut her off and unplugged the analog gauges and digital temp read exactly half.

Replacing with volt and oil pressure soon. Just glad I'm not having an overheating problem :)

[SUB]temperature will show up on the left side in yellow bars, gas will show up on the right side in blue bars right on the display. [/SUB]

Same spot as shock setting and radio volume? Why would they not let you display them anyway?

yes, it will always revert to that screen after a certain amount of time...minute or less i think. Who knows, BRP doesn't mention doing it, someone here figured it out.

I am so going to do that in the morning. Now does anyone know of a brand of oil presure gauge that works on a 2012 RT. And where to tap in to the oil system.

ok the gauge came from prosportgauges.com and the adapter needed for both the new and existing sensor came from
Importer/Distributor- BAT Inc. 7630 Matoaka Road. Sarasota, FL 34243phone (941) 355-0005 fax (941) 355-4683
cost was 15 plus 10 for ship it has a 10mm to 1/8npt its a 1 piece t..the existing sensor will fit into a 1/8npt just use high temp sealant on both sensors, also have had no leaks since putting on had this done right before easter. running oil pressure at 65+mph is about 52psi and at idle it really varies saw it as low as 5psi to 15psi.

How about being able to mount a transmitter for garagedoor opener or gate opener in that spot? It is something way past my knowledgeto design but would be pretty nice to have it that accessible. Has anyone heardof this being done?
