• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

how smart are you

I only got a six this go around. I knew they were trick questions, but did not know they were that tricky. :roflblack::roflblack:

This is easy... just like Ron said:
Take a piece of paper, and cut it into 30 small pieces.
(Actually: this would be one, divided by 30...)
Now take each of those thirty pieces of paper, and cut them in half... (That's dividing by two...)
How much of mess do you have on the table in front of you? :D

That's right: 60! :thumbup:

Not exactly. And I think this is where people derail on this one.

:D I just wanted him to make a big mess on the table... :roflblack:

I think we have both succeeded in that! Yours being on the table. Mine being in the head!

I think taking 2 aspirin and watching a sitcom will solve the problem! :thumbup:

Rob,
You know that I love you like a Brother... :thumbup:
But are we getting a bit close to the edge of this yet?

If you take notice of the signature: I think that CruzrJoe said this first! :D

For what it's worth...
(but I hafta agree with Bob that this is nowhere near as entertaining as watching someone divide 30 squares of paper into 60 1/2 sized pieces :roflblack: )

30 divided by 1/2 .... or 30/(1/2) [brackets shown simply for clarity not for any arithmetic reason] Buuut - Wasn't the old rule to make things easier about 'Reducing when dividing by Fractions' = 'invert the fraction before multiplying'?

Sooooo, if we are going to do that, it gives us something like this:

30/(1/2) - but now we know (remember) the 'make it easier' rule = invert the fraction & then multiply it out, which means it now shows as;

= 30 x 2/1;

= (30 x 2) / 1 (& since 30 x 2 = 60 but we've still got the 'divide by 1' to reduce that means);

= 60/1 -- & since one set of 60 anything still = 60, the answer hasta be;

= 60

You would make a good math teacher. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

:yikes: I was allergic to School back then; and I'm pretty sure that I still am!
When I got my Diploma: ALL of the Teachers stood up and cheered... they don't want to have to see me again! :shocked:
