There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. How my Solar Panels are doing.

Just wanted to give an update on how our Solar Panels are doing. The following shows what our "budget payments" were back starting in June of 2014 and what they were reduced to after the solar panels were installed in late July. We still had the $190 budget payment to pay in August and then $163 in September to pay off the balance of our electric bill because our $190 payment was not keeping up with with our bills. Then after that our bill went to $16.08 "service charge" for the privilege of being hooked up to the grid. The $0 and $5.12 were adjustments to the bill because of how they figure the budget...I guess. Then because of our "bank" of KWH we were never back on the grid for usage until the January and February bills and they were, as you can see only a fraction of what they had been before our solar installation. Our March bill we will be back to the $16.08 because we already have banked about 380 KWHs and I don't expect that we will ever be back on the grid because we will have the whole year to build up our "bank" instead of like last year when we were only on "Solar" from the 3rd week of July.

We have saved hundreds of dollars just this year even figuring in our lease payment. Also we will never have to worry about the constant increases in electric rates as we always have in the past. Our lease payment is locked in for the 20 year lease agreement and can never increase.

I know when I brought this up on the forum last July things got a little heated about all the negative comments that were made. I just wanted to say I could not be happier about our decision of "going Solar"!!!:thumbup::D

Good for you. As I recall there were a lot of naysayers when you posted about this several months ago. Good to see you weren't swayed.

Glad to hear that things have worked out well for you guys. I am thinking about doing the same thing at our place. It is nice to know that good things do happen to good people.

Just sayin'...........

Jim, thanks for the update. I was wondering how it was working out for you. Residential solar is taking off like wildfires here in Las Vegas. We have had presentations from two different companies but we have not taken the plunge yet.

Nice.
do you have pictures. Of your solar array(?).:thumbup:

Yes here is a link to my solar installation:

If you are interested in contacting Sungevity here is a referral code ( 949709) that will save you $500 if you decide to go solar with them.

Hi Dick,

Yes there were, I guess they all meant well, but it did get me irritated. I got the same kind of negative comments when I bought the Spyder. Now that I have about 108,000 miles on it I guess I was right about that decision also. Still lovin' my Spyder. We have a lot of great memories with you guys from the Michigan ride (3 Great Lakes in 3 Great Days) that we did a few years ago.

Jim,
Is it ready for another 108,000? :2thumbs:

...Or have you been "peeking over the fence"? :D

My wife says we are shooting for 200,000 miles before we even consider another Spyder.:dontknow::shemademe_smilie: I have an oil leak right now that has developed and it looks like it is coming from the front valve cover. It looks like there is not going to be enough clearance to replace them while the motor is still in the bike. Does any one have info on this subject?

200,000 miles!:bowdown: Here's hoping that we all get to see it happen!
Oil Leak up front?
How about it guys? Let's find some help for Jim and his Lovely Bride! :2thumbs:

Pull the head, put in the pistons for the 1140 big bore kit, replace the head with a new one. Replace all the seals in the top end of the motor while you have the engine out and apart, and the oil leak is gone right? And if you have ever seen the pace these 2 set when they ride, you know Jim is seriously thinkin about adding some oomph too it.

Just sayin'...........
