• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How much a spyder with bad engine would fetch?

I am thinking about selling my spyder as is if extended warranty agrees to cut me a check in amount of repair bill with termination of warranty contract.
I think it will be a good deal for both party. They are off the hook of remainder of 1 1/2 year left and I can go onto a new spyder or vfr.

My spyder went thru a lot from fault lights, 3 Evap can, 3 coolant reservoir, 2 front sprockts, 2 ecu, 2 engine tear downs and many more in 39000+ miles.

It's got evo's swaybar, seat cover and recently installed parts include
Belt, front sprocket, rear sprocket, swing arm, rear brake pads, 1 year old black panels, battery, cooolant reservoir, all 3 tires.

I need to get an idea before I make them an offer so I will appreciate honest opinions.

If you part it out, I want the sway bar !!!

Can't you just get it fixed under warranty and then trade her in ???

That will be 3 more month of shop time... It took 3 and 4 month last 2 times.
I've been without spyder for 9 month now, almost.

This is what I would do. Negotiate your best deal with your warranty company.

Then list your Spyder on eBay with a reserve price that will get you where you need to be.

If it meets the reserve then pull the trigger with the warranty company. If it doesn't then you may need a plan B.

Throw that thing off a cliff, it's haunted !

Thanks...:D
Trust me, I thought about it often plus few more scenarios, legal and illegal.
Legal ones cost me money, illegal ones will land me in jail...
My best chance was spyder falling off tow truck but no luck, all 7 times.

How's your rt running?
I am guessing you are putting a lot of miles now that you are a retired old man. :p

How about a buck and a half delivered ??? :roflblack:

I am sad that you had so much trouble...

But the offer stands....:joke:

I do hope a little humor makes you feel better.:gaah:

Thank you.

Brp threw a lot of parts at my spyder over last 2 1/2 years and I was even trouble free as long As 4 month last year except for coolant reservoir and front sprocket and this main shaft replacement when engine was torn down the first time was or looked to be my last ordeal with spyder.
My spyder had a lot new parts installed and couldn't replace much more other than frame and body panels and engine was one thing I had no trouble with so I was Pretty confident that was going to be the end of the suffering.
