• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How many wrestling fans are here?

Yes, at one time. Remember Verne Gagne, the Kamikov Bros., Farmer Marlin, the Japanese guy that was always throwing salt in the opponents eyes?????

When wrestling got to what it is today, I went away.

I guess that I have dated myself good here. :roflblack: :roflblack:

And don't forget - Andre the GIANT ...:yikes: ......... Mike

I'm going to go against the grain here and say the acting has gotten better over the years. My father used to get so upset b/c he thought it was all real; I'm talking the 60's (maybe the 50's) when I used to watch it with him.

I'm a UFC fan now.

I was a big fan back in the late 50's; but still think Hulk Hogan was/is one of the best Showmen! He kept it going for quite a while.

I just had my morning coffee with Frank 'Jackrabbit' Chandler. He was the only wrestler in the '50s that could body slam Haystack Calhoun. Great guy from the Portland circuit. When I was a kid, I used to mow Ray (Blond Bomber) Stevens' lawn. Haven't watched in decades.

Agreed. But, then the Rock took it further, and of course he left the fold, and is still climbing.

Used to lift weights with Ray Sterns. He and his wife Clair owned a gym in Sam Mateo, cal. They were both truly strong. Ray didn't last too long as he wouldn't take orders and fought to won. I went on to wrestle in High School--- so did my grand sons.

The current brand of WWE programming leaves a little to be desired anymore. There are some real good athletes - they just don't know how to use them. At least I got to see all the good stuff from the Attitude Era(1990 - 2000). The writers for the company today couldn't write their way out of a wet paper bag.......
