• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Full is Full?

Fill till it clicks off then pull the nozzle out a little and run it slow till it spits out the vent like Ann described. Once it does that, dont do it again because you may over fill it. You should see the level right to the bottom of that filler neck, If you dont do that and ride in a group, you may run out before you get to the destination. That happened to a lady riding with us to Spyderfest last April in the rain.

Another good question is when to Refill. Dont wait till you get to the last bar or the low fuel light comes on. Once your gas level starts to make you think about it, pull over and fill up. It will give you a needed break anyways. No need to occupy your mind about your gas level. It will allow you to enjoy your ryde so much better and relax.

"Top off the tank" is exactly that... filling it that last bit.

BUT.....there is a point past which you should NOT go.
Having it too full is a bad thing.

AND making most gas delivery nozzles run "slowly" is nearly impossible.

The point is.................

No one really knows how much fuel you can stuff into a spyder, and no one knows how much wood a woodchuck can chuck. Some of these posts can just get down right ridiculous at times. :banghead: :gaah: nojoke But, like most of us I just keep on'a read'n because it's Sunday I guess. :roflblack: :dontknow:

Some of you like to use that there "auto fill" method......you're in for a heck of a surprise when it doesn't shut off by itself:yikes:

Just another "slow day" discussion subject. We all have the choice to read or not to read--that is the question. A little paraphrased Shakespearean humor if you can figure it out. Hamlet knows. :roflblack::roflblack:

I fill to about 1/2" from the opening each time I fill up. That way I can figure the actual gas mileage I'm getting. I also round it the nearest 1/10th on the pump. Makes for easier math in the figuring.

I get it.
It's like trimming nose hair.
You can trim a bit inside or let it come to the outer edge for a different effect.
perfectly clear now.
