• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How fast is your spyder

I leave this screen up and it makes people ask questions other than how much did it cost etc etc etc...

Aren't you a little freaked out about losing your GPS using just the suction base?
I was going to try it, but got a little worried about the consequences if it fell of.

I used just the suction cup base on my GPS all the way to Gatlinburg and back as well as the whole time I was down there. It only came loose once and that was sitting still. Go figure. It seems to hold pretty darn well. I put mine right on the instrument panel.

LOL
Ive seen this on other forums. Hint....flown anywhere lately????? LOL

I got mine up to 340 something in a series of short tunnels. Actual speed was around 55. Made for an interesting conversation later- "Man, this is a 650?" :yikes:

I did a 250 mile ride over the weekend and it held just fine. It did have a lot more vibration around 40 than it did at 75. It wouldnt be a bad idea to put it on a leash somehow just in case....

Thanks Dtang
Will give it a try.
Thinking about glueing a suction base disc behind the screen with maybe a velcro strip leash for added security.

I had the dealership hard wire the zumo 550 and place it on the right handlebar...

It's a good location, is non-obtrusive, and works great. I also use the zumo for phone as it has bluetooth and also for music, as it has a slot for a SD card!

I highly recommend the zumo 550...it's really functional!
