• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How far is too far?

They didn't clean the Spyder either. It has shock fluid all over even on the tupperware
:gaah: Now that's just a wee bit more than annoying... Take the Service Manager aside and let him know about it; if they really want to get your repeat business they'll take care of it...
Good Luck and please let us know how they handle it...

Putting some miles on, I can see a possible reason behind even though 150 might be excessive...
But not cleaning up the shock fluid I'd be upset about too.

Problem is, even if you don't love em, they are still best in the area for service. There's only one other place in Vegas that does Em, and judging from mishapman's experiences, they dont have a clue about what they are doing. ProShop may have put some miles on and not cleaned up some mess, but at least the bike got properly fixed. (right?)

I agree with what has been said. It's just common courtesy to NOT give you back your Spyder with almost no gas in it, not to mention extremely rude! As far as the mileage goes, I wouldn't say that 50 miles is excessive, but it depends on what it was in there for and how many times they had to take it out to test it for any additional or recurring issues.

Sounds like your dealer needs to learn a little something in courtesy. I think they can spare the $5 or $10 worth of gas to keep you as a happy customer. nojoke

You start making dealers put gas in your Spyder they will raise the labor rate. Not only will you pay for the gas but the labor for the tech to put it in. So a gallon of gas might end up hidden in your bill for $15.00 or more. Do you want that ???

I'm service oriented, I'll pay a little extra for that 'nice touch'....not $15/gal. extra cause that's a rip but a reasonable amount....sure.

I tested underground petroleum tanks at plenty of auto dealerships all over the northeast, they all had their own gasoline storage....there was a time when a dealer wouldn't think of sending a new car out without a full tank....I'm sure they were factoring it into the cost but it was a nice touch.

That kind of approach would go a long way these days...!:lecturef_smilie: End of rant!

LOTS OF EXTRA MILES

I USED TO BE A COP....50 MILES...THAT'S GRAND THEFT AUTO....MIKE....NO EXCUSE FOR THAT...IT'S BS....

No doubt it would be a little difficult to make a GTA charge stick but there's certainly a 'within reason' clause lurking in there somewhere.

I'm all for doing what it takes to get a machine repaired/tested properly, but 50 miles to test a shock absorber is not within reason.

In fact, in this age of highly sophisticated diagnostic equipment, I can't think of ANY repair that would require a lengthy 'test run' like that!
