How do you explain what riding is like?

It's much different than riding in a closed in vehicle. That's why we refer to them as "cages."

My story is, my bike has been down for a paint project on it for the last 2 months. My wife today while we were out and about asked why, when she has asked if I'm OK do i want to go out and take a ride in the truck, i say I'm OK but as soon as the bike is back its me asking if she wants to go for a ride on the bike. i tried to explain it is a different experience, on the bike you are in the elements, in the truck its just the truck. She replied I've ridden with you on the bike its the same thing, i said no its not. i explained it as an event unto its self, not the same as in a car. she didn't get it. Any words of wisdom out there?
