How do I block someone?

Ok... I need to block some left wing POS. I thought I had, but I guess not. How do I block someone?

Look up their profile, and add them to your ignore list.

Not directly harassing me, but it's obvious their the one who complained to the boss. Just check the last few posts of the thread.

Just hate it when someone can't just ignore something they don't like or agree with. Instead they complain and whine to get there way.

The trick in here, is that there IS no freedom of speech. nojoke This isn't a Democracy: Lamont owns the place, and can set the rules as he wants them.
We can either accept that fact, or find another place to hang out!
That being said: we should all still try to defend the other guy's right to say what they believe... even if it makes our own blood boil!
Honest disagreements of opinion, can lead to exchanges of ideas. Everybody benefits! :2thumbs:

Walking on egg shells due to the fear of offending someone is not what we do online, we interact with a lot of people and we need to learn to grow a thick skin, different opinions and all valid weather we agree with them or not,,,,,i bet that did it, i have been put on the ignore list,,,:sour:

I don't agree with everyone and they don't always agree with me. I try to get along and let everyone speak their opinion.

Never have used ignore and don't think I am on anyone's list. If I am, that's okay with me.

I just let it ride, and usually it get's better. A couple people who tempted me, I feel okay about now. Some show rough edges, but that's just part of the game.

If everyone agreed with everyone, we wouldn't need a forum. :thumbup:

I personally don't believe in blocking people no matter how annoying they are. Yes, there are quite a few posters on this forum whose keyboards I wish would melt, but blocking them is not a solution to which I subscribe.
I'm a very outspoken person, and as a result I'm sure I have been blocked by a few people. So be it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and on a forum that deals with something as complex as the Spyder, there is sure to be a vast array of different viewpoints. We may not all agree on everything, but blocking someone just because they hold an adverse opinion is rather pedestrian IMHO. If someone is personally attacking you in a relentless manner, than reporting them to the admin would be more appropriate.

Just my two cents worth...

I LOVE the blocking feature. If someone is particularly annoying (and you know who you are) I block them and just don't have to see any of their crap.

My reasoning, if I post something they don't like, I don't need to worry about it. This is the first person I've blocked on any forum.

As I try to tell my wife, it's hard to determine someones feelings, intent(whatever you want to call it) in just one or two sentences. I've seen a lot of people in this world and a few on this sight that have forgotten everyone has different tastes and opinions. And because it's different than yours, it might not be wrong. Remember the original name for this July 4th holiday INDEPENDENCE DAY. It's more than just a cool movie. I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend.
