There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.
How do I add a photo to display when I post a comment?

Do you want to post a picture for your Avatar( under here your vito1943, Active member, join date, Location, Posts)?

Try: Go to Settings, top right corner near "Log out" ,
click once,
Go to "My Settings( 3rd section down) on the left side of your screen, Click on "Edit Profile Picture".
You will have 2 options: 1st option is: Enter the URL to the image on Another Website or 2nd option: Upload Image from your computer * choose file / No file chosen,
if you choose option # 2 to upload picture in profile. It takes a few minutes to upload picture.
Also "Save Changes" Bottom right side corner( next to reset fields). Click on Save Changes.
