• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Please share how you wired your F3 for battery tender like device. pictures encouraged.

The perfect connector for my battery tender comes standard in the frunk - however it is cannot be used to charge battery - only on with ignition switch on.

Thank you for sharing.

it is already there, under the front left tire ( it is little dangled part).
ill try to send picture tomorrow

appreciate it - dang if I see it

I have a dangling wire with connector that is pushed thru hole in frunk but I read here (at least I thought I did) it is hot only when key is turned on.

looked at service manual - 3 customer accessory circuits all are "key on" only. One in back of frunk, one under seat and one under left side panel.

I'll just wire directly to battery and route through existing hole in back of frunk!

Cheers

You are correct, all 3 OEM accessory wires have to have the engine running to have power. I wired my battery tender direct to the battery. I also purchased a battery tender USB plug that plugs into the battery side cord so I can charge phone, camera, or whatever.

Great idea - thank you

Might you share where you put the other end of direct to battery: frunk?? somewhere else??

Yes, pulled the frunk liner out to connect the battery tender to the battery, drilled a small hole to put the lead through and reinstalled the liner and it can be pushed in and pulled out when needed.
