• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How can I upload a signature image?

I want to change my signature picture to my new Spyder. I did a search and didnt find an answer... When I try to "insert image" it will only let me use the URL upload, not the "from computer" option. I don't know how to use a URL... I changed my avatar using the "from computer" option. What do I need to do?

Hi Big, as you might notice, I've moved your thread to the 'Forum Support & Testing area - a better place than General Spyder Discussion for this sorta stuff. ;)

Hopefully you can follow all this, but I can assure you that it's a whole lot easier to actually DO than it is for me to type it out! :sour:

First up, click on 'Notifications' & then 'Inbox', up in the top right of screen. Once that page paints up, look down the left hand column for 'edit signature' and click on that. That'll open up the (funnily enough  ) 'Edit Signature' page and if you scroll down past text field, you should find a block that says 'Signature Picture', and Option 2 in that block should be labelled 'Upload image from your computer' - that's where you need to click on 'Choose File' and follow the selection process. :ohyea:

Help any? Just yell if you still need a hand!

Hi RNBob, did you 'Choose File'; select where from, ie your camera or files etc; select the file & 'done' to return to the 'Choose file' field, where your selected file name/addr shows alongside the 'Choose file' button; then hit the 'Upload' button just below & to the right of that block?? :dontknow:

Not saying this is necessarily what's happened to you/your pic, but it does seem that some will choose their file OK but then forget to Upload it..... and that just won't work!! :cus: Do I really need to tell you how I know this occurs.... more than once, too!! :opps: At times, it's not that my 'memory' doesn't work quite so well anymore; it's more that my 'forgetory' seems to kick into high gear more often!! :banghead:
