• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

how can I tell if the Can-Am 1" riser has been installed????

I'm trying to install the ISCI handbrake and the fugging thing hits the windshield. I'm getting damn tired of spending money on this thing and I really don't want to hack the bars and deal with all the grip removal BS. How can I tell if I have the BRP factory riser or not? I think that would possibly be enough to make it useable? (i think) Other than a test ride I've been sitting here looking at this thing unable to ride it for over a week and I'm getting close to selling it and going on without it.

Please & Thanks for your help.

RISER

I think you have the BRP riser on your spyder....it looks like mine does......Did you buy your Spyder used ? ..Why don't you ask the seller ?......Mike I don't know why the riser would cause the hand brake to hit the windshield....I would contact ISCI and ask them for advise even if you didn't buy it new from them....

If the rear edge of the hanlebar cover is more than 1 1/2 inches above the "gas tank", you've got the riser. Which windshield do you have? Some of them can interfere with clutch levers or hand brakes.

Good question on the windshield. From the pictures I've looked at online. I think it's a Calsci large? It will also pinch your fingers between the bar and the shield if you go full lock to the right. maybe I should **** can the windshield are other ones more vertical?

RISER THING

Get in touch with Calsi maybe it's not installed right and needs some washers.....Do some homework....Mike

A number of the aftermarket windshields interfere in extreme turns. I don't think the BRP riser will help you. It moves the bars upward at about the same angle as the windshield.

There are some other solutions:
a) Install a Madstad adjustable windshield bracket, which moves the windshield forward and can be adjusted to clear.
b) Install ESI (Custom Dynamics) or Kewlmetal handlebar risers, and angle them back.
c) Heat and modify your windshield.

BRP RISER THING

Scotty, Arctic thinks he may already have the BRP riser and that is what is causing the interference with the windshield........Mike

I ordered risers from custom dynamics today. It will probably solve my clearance issue. Even though i hate altering the controls before i've been able to get any real seat time on it. Man those things are insanely expensive. Risers for snowmobiles are only $80. I'm assuming these are thicker for the torsional pressure exerted on them

What height riser did you order? The 4" and above don't normally work with the 1" riser installed. If you hate to tear things appart you will hate removing the BRP riser and will need to have the stock riser to reinstall.

I got the 3"assuming that I have the BRP riser. There might be a new low cost provider of risers when I get done with this project. $230 is crazy
