There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Honda Neowing vs Can-am Spyder

My guess is they're just keeping their patents up to date. I've owned two Honda Dealerships and Honda is always late to the game and that's when times were good and everyone could sell anything. Times are lean now and I don't see this coming to market anytime soon. Honda still has a bad taste in their mouth from the lawsuits from the ATC days. nojoke
Going along with this a regional Honda rep, who didn't even know the Neowing concept existed, told me at Wing Ding that Honda often floats many ideas and designs out in the public in order to gauge market receptivity. According to him many, many, designs are floated publicly for every one that ends up in production.

UGH

TRUE, BUT THE NARROW STANCES MAKES IT LOOK UGLY....
the design is an 'after thought' of a 2 wheeler... the SPYD3R was designed from the ground up as a brand new concept 3 wheeler....
however, i like the idea of the 'swing arm' design... very conducive to tire changes...
jmho
I agree with Spyd3r. Its an interesting concept but I doubt it will compete with the spyder. Its still a 2 wheeler that wont fall down.

you mean like this....?

i purchased this new in 1984 for my then 8 yr old son... he's now 40 and has put about 100,000 miles of smiles on it, and it's still in perfect condition... the problem with these, was that the owners never learned how to operate them... out'a git dat out-side rear wheel off the ground into a turn....

SPYD3R
My cousin use to race these. He got into some dangerous crashes that hurt him pretty badly. He was so against trikes he told me NOT to buy the spyder.

don't write Honda off yet their durability is legendary can am will always compete as long as they can match or surpass Honda in this area this to remains to be seen

Blacklightning has got it right. Since BRP dropped the RS theres no 'sports' Spyder with the right ergonomics for me so when my Spyder wears out I'm going to have to go back to two wheels unless there's something like this out there

:D But you never know what they're developing...
Dropping the RS and ST models was actually just getting rid of the Vee-Twin engine.
Perhaps the next version of those bikes will have the triple... :dontknow:

You could very well be correct. But, due to the fact that most sport bikes (and their riders) like to have their bikes in the higher RPM range, it would have been better if they were to squeeze a few more ponies out of the V-Twin (maybe 120, since that is all they would give us anyway), and then give us a 6th gear. In fact I would be pretty happy if they just did the 6th gear. I have the 3 cylinder (2014 RT), and a V-Twin (2012 RSS). Because of the difference in weight, I cannot say which one is truly faster. But, the thing that I miss the most on the RSS is the lack of a 6th gear for highway traveling. Because of the higher revs (and suspension), I feel like I am one day on a cadillac, and the next day on a corvette.

What I like about my spyder the power, the se6 transmission ,smooth comfortable ride, cruse control, stability, I don't like changing oil haven't change plugs yet, best part I don't have to put my foot down at stop lights anymore and I don't miss the clutch or brake levers
What I liked about my Hondas the power, smooth comfortable ride, cruse control, easy oil changes, reasonably easy spark plug changes, and vibration free shaft. Didn't like the clutch and brake levers [hands worn out].
Don't like the shop rates at either dealership but if they solve the problems that I can't in a reasonable amount of time I'll pay the price.

Entry

If Honda decides to enter this game that would be great. the competition to gain market shear would be good for the consumer .

It's like a love/ hate relationship. First I love you then I hate you. Then I love you again.( love) Its a wonderful thing

Remember the picture is of a prototype if it goes into production things will be refined and added if it becomes a three wheeler with wing in the name it will have bags and a trunk and many of the luxury we've come to expect from the Goldwing.

I see this as a way for Honda to compete against Piaggio in the European market. I owned a MP3 500 and I liked the handling. Just not comfortable for me.
