• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

These are my homemade floorboards and they are strong, I weigh 245 lbs and there is no give on them. made out of 1/8 inch Diamond plate Aluminum 24inch long and 9 inches width. there are 4 bolts holding them in place. My :spyder2: looks good with them and very confortable.

nice work

nice work floyd, those look really good. you should post a play by play on the construction in the mods section.

Looks great! :2thumbs: I hope you have some kind of anti-slip spray/chemical on them. I know diamond plate can get very slick when wet. My Seal Floorboards have a layer of rubber that looks like diamond plating.

Homemade Floorboards

The Boards are mounted on a homemade bracket that after you raise the passanger board up and slide my bracket down in place than put the board back in place. Drilled 2 holes to bolt it to. I used a 1/2 square steel tube and cut 2 pieces 2 inches long and 2 pieces 1 1/2 inch long than weld the 2 inch at the end of the tube and come in 3/4 inch and weld the short one in place than drilled 2 holes for the bolts to anchor to. I painted them before installed.:spyder2::2thumbs:

And they can get very hot as well when the sun hits it, an excellent solar heater. And blinding. Of course your foot will be covering half of it. I used to work with this material a lot before I retired.

Pardon my confusion, but are Floyd and neelbert the same person? Or are we still waiting to see pics of neelbert's floorboards? Maybe I'm just suffering from Monday morning madness :dontknow::roflblack:

Hey Floyd, can you post a pic of the bracket you made to mount under the rear footrest?

I've seen these in person. Impressive. Floyd put all his weight up on one and it didn't budge. Very solid construction and from the back with the angle created from the install you can hardly tell they are even there. All kinds of foot positions to explore. Nice job brother!!
