• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Homemade center mount solution

I purchased 2 Ram-HOL-UN7BU's via Amazon and BOXBAY LLC. About $25 a piece. I then trimmed off the 1 inch balls with a miter saw. Be careful to remove only the ball and just enough material to create a flat surface. You can then mate the two holders with glue/silicone (permanent) or peel n stick velcro. For the pic I temporarily used 2 sided white tape. I'll probably use silicone and remove entire mount when not in use. With the appropriate sized Ram Mount this method for center mounting would work for GPS, cell phone, etc. I like it because it's low profile. The Ipod is less than 2 inches above the handlebar bolts.20150611_115021.jpg

Make sure you're using the UN7BU clamp. It will grip the handlebar bracket securely. I've since eliminated the upper clamp and velcro the Ipod directly to the flat surface created on the UN7BU. Creates a lower profile and looks better when Ipod not attached.
