• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hitch Part 2

As I posted earlier got my hitch in the other day. Was going to take it to Velocity this morning to have it installed but I am now working Monday thru Friday with weekends off!!! Yeah!!! So the hubby (Tobor 9) was kind enough to take it there for me and have it installed. I now need to get a trailer. I had been thinking about getting 1 thru the USA Trailer store in Greenville (nice day trip from Charleston) when I saw that Mini Trailer USA had the wiring conversions. Called them and had a really nice conversation with Rick (?). Said they are willing to work with me on getting the size trailer I want and the wiring conversion. It says they ship to the depot but I told him we no longer have a vehicle to pick it up (sold the Honda Pilot we had - no cage now - only transportation is our :spyder2:'s!!!) They are willing to ship it to my house. Besides, another reason to buy from them is they are a site sponsor! I will let you all know how it goes.

Progress..!!

Pictures or link to the one you have in mind. Sounds like you will be pretty much set soon...great that they are so accomdating..:2thumbs:

If it is the Lumina you are looking at I believe they are made in China and have very bad bearings and hubs. Please check this out before buying. Mini Trailer USA is the only trailer that looks like a lumina and it is made in the USA in Oklahoma. Lumina is a knock off of this trailer and it is made in China.

Ricky and the guys at mini trailers USA are really super nice guys they gave me a tour of the facility and I was very impressed. I ended up buying a nomad trailer for my 2014 RTL two months ago. Very well built and pulls great. You won't be disappointed. I love mine. Plus two sets of golf clubs will fit nicely.

As I said in my post, I had decided to go with the site sponsor, Mini Trailers USA. Going to get the Nomad in black/diamond plate. Will probably be ordering it when I get home from work.

I will chime in on this and recommend Mini Trailer USA also, they make a good product, you will be happy.

RT-622 Trailer

Yes there are less expensive trailers out there. But in my opinion, nothing looks as good as an RT-622 behind an RT Spyder. They just fit together.

Exactly, they were designed to match the Spider. I have seen some god awful trailers in my many years of travel and sometimes wonder where pride and taste have gone. Anyone with a computer can find a RT-622 trailer for $2000-$2500 if they try. (imho) Most all of the after market trailers have leaf springs or coil springs causing the trailer to bounce all over the road. The RT-622 has a trailing arm suspension that produces a jet smooth ride with load or no load and well worth the extra $. RT-622 also has an adjustable suspention for heavy or light loads etc.

I know several riders that have gone "cheap" with there trailers and were very disappointed with them. Ride, bearing and hub failure not to mention the leaks are just a few reasons.
