• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hindle

I am considering putting hindle exhaust on my 2008 gs se5. A few questions:
It says that it is not street legal and does not meet EPA standards but a lot of people use it. Is there a potential exposure to fines/penalties?
Are we putting too much pollution out? I know it is much less than a small SUV but still.
Is it a simple switch or the ECU need to be adjusted? the bike is stock except K&M air filter
Thank you

Had a Hindle on my '08 GS

Direct slide on, not obstructions or problems. System ran great, sounded great and never an issue. You will get a little "pop" when you downshift but, hey, that's what you're looking for anyway.

HINDLE

:agree::agree::agree:.....and the HINDLE DOESN'T NEED A gasket, it's a direct fit slip on........Mike :thumbup:

Relax..!!

like anything today...its a warning lable.. Even asprin will say in some cases can cause death. The hindle is nowhere near as loud as the many Harley's out there. You will not be hasseled, fined etc. Have one on our RS and have for years..love it...relax and go for it...:thumbup:

Your stock muffler has a catalytic converter built into to
The Hindle does not . It is not EPA approved for the street.
If you switch keep tour stock muffler in case you need to go back

Installed it few days ago, followed the instructions, torqued to the specks with torque wrench. When I start it I feel the air escaping where it connects with a few water drops, it goes away when the bike is at operating temp. Is this normal? should I tighten it some more?
