• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hindle muffler question

Have bought an RS already fitted with the Hindle muffler and the question is...Is there a decibel killer or something to reduce the noise, I can't hear myself think. As it's an SE5, when the throttle "blips" on downshift it sounds like a gun going off. Any help appreciated.

Was it a used unit, and if so, how mant miles were on it? historically Hindle has been one of the quieter mufflers used on Spyders. Maybe, it just needs to be rebuilt(repacked).:dontknow:

Don't know..!!

we have the same set up. RS sm5 2012. Installed the Hindle exhaust shortly after we bought the roadster. We now have over 12,000 miles on it and it has gotten louder. You may have to repack it to get it back to a softer sound. I have not done it as yet maybe because ours is manual and I can control the popping. You may also check other exhausts or go back to stock. You can pick up a stock pipe cheap there are a lot for sale. Just post here you are looking for one...!!

Hindle

Thanks for your interest, maybe I'm just a "Pussy Cat", was hoping there was a device to install in the outlet. Since posting I've heard a YOSHIMURA can on a similar Spyder....just as noisy and the owner LOVES it.
