• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

No way the stock exhaust gasket is going to work with a Hindle muffler, at least not the Hindles that dltang and I got.

When installing the hindle exhaust, do you need to install some kind of gasket or exhaust sealant.
There is no gasket. You have to remove the stock one. I have read of several owners who used sealant to eliminate leaks. Couldn't hurt.

Thats what I thought everybody was doing. So does it come with it's own gasket then?

The dealership I bought my :spyder: from installed the hindle before I took delivery; no sealant.

Yesterday morning I had my :spyder: in for it's 600 mile service and they sealed the pipe connection w/silicone.

I've noticed a substantial increase in power when accelerating since then. Could a leak in the exhaust cause this type of noticeable difference?

Hindles don't come with anything to seal the connection. I believe that is why some people are talking about using a high temp silicone to seal against leaks. I didn't use any sealant but I may try some as I think I have a slight leak.
