• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Was wondering if anyone with a Hindle on their spyder has had it checked for its dba rating in the city of Oakville?Since their by law takes effect July 1st 2012 stating no motorcycle can be driven if it exceeds 96 dba at 2000rpm or 92dba measured at 50 centimeters at idle.Minimun fine $400.00 maximum $25,000 maximum for first offence

Check the fine print on the Brp adds about the Hindle ; For off road use only, so you might have another problem if there checking mufflers. That said i don't think the Hindle is that loud as to attract any attention.
I guess that law is another example of;
Loud pipes lose rights.

Well I guess We won't be able to make it to Canada on our spyders!!!! Does this apply to New Brunswick or Nova Scotia?? We were thinking about going that way next year and I have the Two brothers on mine.

Two bob from OZ

Gday All, they go on a blitz down here in OZ every now and then. The law is a funny thing and it actually doesnt say that you have to hit the throttle up to 2k all at once. The way round it is to wind it up slowly. The noise is usually only there when you stand on the throttle, not when you are toddling along - it is more of a nice note, some call it music to their ears. However if you are super loud not much is going to help you.

Noise by laws in Canada are no more restrictive than most States, Counties or Cities in the United States. If you have no problems with your muffler noise output where you currently drive then you will have the same results driving through any province in Canada.
