• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

hidden turn signal lights

I found a place to put the Axillary turn signal LED's (As you all know the signal lights in the dash are hard to see). On my old RT I had them stuck to the mirrors. This worked find and look good but this time I thought of something different. I decided to play around with it and I like this location better. The little LED strips are from Advance auto, little 4 inch red led strips that have the adhesive backing. They can't be seen until you turn on the turn signals. they are very visible and for sure will not let you forget the blinker is on (Especially for those times they don't self cancel).

No drilling involved. Just pop out the speaker grills and stick the lights on back there. Then pop off the mirrors and simply fish the wires in and splice them in with the turn signals. I like it because when they are not blinking they are invisible. Easy install and takes about 15 minutes per side.
I don't know how to post a video, sorry, but it does look good when blinking.

Those are AWESOME!!!!! I may have to consider reworking the lights I put on my mirrors.
Great job!

Thanks for the comments. The speaker grills come out very easily. They just pop in and out. You will see that the speakers are situated to inboard side behind the grills leaving flat space to stick the lights on without interfering with the speakers. I will follow up with some more pics.

Would you have a part number? Looked at their web page but only item that looked close to yours was a 6 inch red strip and not sure if that was the same type. Looks like a great idea.

Here are some more pictures on the install of the signal lights. The second pic has the light strip mounted. (sorry that one got sideways, don't know why).

Jimnsusie, I don't have the box they came in. It may be the 6 inch strips. Two came in the pack and the cost was about 16.00 dollars. I have had the lights for a few weeks and just now decided where to put them and as I think about it I could have picked them up at Auto Zone instead of Advance Auto. Both of those auto supplies are near each other and I visit each.

By the way, Anyone know why the attached pictures are showing up in large pictures and the attachments? I was just trying to attach them and didn't intend for them to be there twice.
