• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LITTLE KNOW FACT ABOUT LEASING A CAR FROM INFINITI AND SOME OTHER COMPANIES.
i was looking to lower my bills so i figured i would try to sell the lease to someone from a lease buying company. it sounded really good and a easy way to get out of your payments. the person looking for a short term lease can be approved for taking over the lease than all you do is the transfer and they pick up the payments.
so i just get off the phone with INFINITI and they told me that i was allowed to do it BUT i have to remain on the lease in case the person taking over the lease forfeits on the lease and i would be responsible for the remaining payments. i think this is totally wrong because they would have to approve the person for the takeover. UNBELIEVABLE

Companies always CYA (theirs) and it is never in favor of the customer.

All of us are quick to sign off on the three pages of legaleeze without much of a look. What else do they have us on the hook for? :yikes:

t5his is the fourth infiniti i have leased so far. i go with the leases so i don't have to come up with the big down stroke for a high end car. i love the car but i am just trying to lower my bills due to some serious house repairs i need to do, oh well guess i have to keep it

Bummer..!!

Getting out of a lease can be tricky. They are great for certain things but do tie you up in other ways. Sorry you couldn't get out from under...:banghead:

Basically, you have co-sign for the person sub-leasing the car.

I leased my last car purchase and won't do it again. My life-situation changed and wasn't in a position to buy it out when the lease ended, nor to buy another car, and didn't want to take on another lease. Lucky for me, my dad loaned me the money to buy the car, since I really liked it anyway, and I still have it. I won't buy another car unless I can pay cash or get a good finance deal. Leasing? Never!

:banghead: Well...
Not to make light of your plight; but what did trying to save money COST you? :dontknow:
I'm sorry to hear that you're stuck... :gaah:

Hi Patti,

Re: I won't buy another car unless I can pay cash . . .

IMO it is all about money management. I bought my first motor vehicle in the summer of '54. I really have no idea on how many cars I have owned.

I have never:

- Bought a new car *

- Bought from a dealer*

- Financed any of them

* I just ordered a new Lexus RC350 and bought it from a dealer. When it arrives in about 3 months I will pay cash for it; had to put $5,000 down to have them special order it.

Back in '63, when I got out of the service, I worked for a finance company. I quickly learned that you do not 'own' a car until it is completely paid for.

cuznjohn,

I'm with you. I've leased for a while now, and will continue. Everybody can find a link to agree with their own decision to buy, or not.
