• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi, just wanted to introduce myself. Been lurking here for awhile. My husband has always ridden motorcycles, but I was never comfortable riding with him. This spring he moved up to a bigger bike and got a harley street glide. I started riding some with him as this bike felt more sturdy. Went to the Harley shop with him one day and they had a trike. I told him that I thought I might could do that and be more comfortable if I was "in control".

He test drove a couple of trikes and said he would not let me loose on them. He looked at a 2009 RS spyder and came back with a grin from ear to ear! Long story short, he brought it home. I took my test and got my license and he rode behind me for two weeks. I love it! Every afternoon when he gets home, I'm asking where are we going tonight!

Our first big trip was the Talimena scenic drive. It was awesome and we even saw a bear sitting by the side of the road. I met a very nice lady ryder on a beautiful blue RT and she let me sit on it. Wow!

Three days after we got home from the trip, my check engine light came on. While we were at the dealers to get it fixed, the Orbital Blue RT-S just kept yelling at me.

So...we traded in the RS and I love, love the RT-S. Only had it a week and I have put over 280 miles on it. Can't say enough how much fun I'm having with this.

My husband is thinking he has created a monster. :D

Welcome to the site and congratulations on your new ryde.

A great dealer to let you change your mind and move to the RTS. If you are into touring and long rydes, you will probably like that model much better.

I have lots of miles on both flavors and the RTS is my choice for my kind of riding.

Welcome aboard and congrats. Good to see more Spyders based here in Arkansas. Be sure and check out the Arkansas Section of the forums here for local rides, etc..

Thanks everyone!

Yes, being in control is great. Hubby likes to start wide in turns and drift toward the yellow line. I was constantly slapping him on the arm and telling him to move the bike toward the shoulder. He told someone the other day he could tell when my hand left his side he was in trouble.

Now, he can ride how he wants to and I can and we are both happy!

:welcome: Your Hubby is a great guy. Never did like riding behind anyone either. Enjoy your new RT. :ohyea:
