• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi from a new Spyder owner

Teddy & I would like to say CONGRATS & Welcome to the SpyderHood

:congrats: & :welcome:. Depending on your height & weight, you may want to follow the directions in your Owners Manual & set your front shock settings to a higher setting. Here in the US they are preset to 3 out of 5, with 5 being the stiffest setting, but setting them stiffer can help in the twisties. Also, best advice ever given to me about taking high speed corners on the RT, is to lower your center of gravity (chest towards glove box) and you want your chin over your knuckles leaning into the turn. Once I started doing this, along with learning to grip the seat with my knees, it opened up the twisties to me like never before. Always have to triple check Teddy's harness connections or the lil guy would most definately go flying with how we can just ZIP through the twisties now:yes::yes: before learning this approach, I had the same top-heavy feeling in the turns & didn't care for that uneasy feeling. But now, its sweet, like tea;) Glad to have you in the family. Enjoy the ryde :2thumbs:20120422_231851.jpgIMG_20120322_185825.jpg

Thanks you to everyone for your kind comments. Amazing to have so many kind and encouraging comments from people i have yet to meet. So far from all your comments i have learnt the following :

(1) Modding the Spyder is clearly compulsory....so i will start my search for the best accessories :D
(2) I need to re-check just to make sure mine is right hand drive ;)
(3) Whenever i add anything....photos are compulsory on Spyder lovers
(4) Not to sweat about about learning to ride the bike or get the most from it...there are plenty of Spyder lovers who are happy to help and reassure

Thanks again for all your kind comments, nice to be part of the family.

Al.
