Hi everyone

Just purchased a spyder yesterday after 2 months of waiting. My husband has been tying to get me to ride for years now and I have finally made the choice and tommorrow is pick-up day. He is going to be surprised because he knew it was due in soon but doesn't know it is here. He was out of town this week on a business trip and won't be home until tonight. The dealer caled on Tuesday to let me know it arrived and I went yesterday and did all the paperwork. Tommorrow I gonna ask him to go down o he dealer so we cn take a demo ride and surprise him. He ride a ZX14 but I think he is just as excited as I am. I was going to bring it home yeserday but wanted him to ride it home so I can practice near the house. I have ridden the dealer demo 4-5 times but never on the highway alone so I decided to wait..

I'm so excited not sure I will be able to keep it from him but I will try.

Welcome Deb. My wife did the same, for the same reasons. had me ride it home, then practiced in parking lots, then quiet neighborhood streets, then on to local traffic, then the highway. Took very little time at all, and she became comfortable quickly, and she never had a test ride. Nice surprise, too. Again, welcome...and enjoy!

Congrats! After wrecking the last bike I had, I decided to check out a Spyder. I went for a test drive with two girlfriends when hubby was at the firehouse. I put a deposit down but I told him about it since I had a ten month wait! There was no way I could have kept quiet that long! I love it and have never looked back. Have fun riding!

The more women who drive them the more I might be able to convince my wife to get her own to ride. The goal is to have 2 in the house by next spring a SM5 and a SE5. No way could I get her to let me have 2 but if she thinks one was really for her that would be cool.:2thumbs:
