• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sorry for posting a hello in here but I couldn't see a newbies area. The name's Russ. I'm based in the UK and have been a Spyder owner for a month or two now, although I've been racing ATV's for a few years. Oh, and my member name comes from a few years further back when I used to ride freestyle jetskis. Hope I'm not the only Brit member at spyderlovers.com but it doesn't really matter I guess.

Welcome aboard - Not a Brit, but we share the same Monarch. I'll be listening for some M1 stories as well. (Still no Speed limit?)

Yeah...that must be weird: the brake is on the right, yet they drive on the left...:joke:
My Triumph brake is on the left, yet we ride on the right. Never bothered me then, doesn't bother me now. Now the Indian with the throttle on the left did confuse me a bit.

Oh yes, our Queen! She does like to rule other countries as well. I disagree with that of course but I won't go into that now.

Do you mean the M1 motorway in the UK?

Hi Jetskier. Welcome.

Am in Hertfordshire,UK. Been on line here since my Spydie arrived at the beginning of June 08. Have only added th taller screen (cause I'm tall )and the Hindle pipe, and now it sounds like a big twin should !! I think this is the best fun you can have fully clothed. There are a few riders in the UK but I have been trying to encourage others but to no avail. Perhaps they are unaware of the forums. Will keep hoping!!!:yes::yes:

There is a group of spyder riders in Milton Keynes. Perhaps we should meet up half way to you one day?

Hi Jetskier and welcome.

I am from Newcastle and I have not seen another Spyder at all during my travels, so it is an exclusive club in the UK.

I have fitted 4" risers, made a hand brake conversion and repositioned the rear footrests for my long legged wife, all mods that I can recommend. Nearly 4k miles on the Spyder since new and it is now ovedue for its service so I need to plan a 400 mile round trip to the "local" dealer in the next few weeks.

If you are ever up this way let me know and I will show you some of the best rides in the Northumberland......

Hey oldfart, it's funny you should say that because I'm actually from Whitley Bay and all my family are still there. Was up at Christmas but because I take the family I can't take the Spyder of course. If I visit the folks on my own and with the spyder I'll be sure to let you know.

What 'local' dealer are you planning to visit? There are two near me so if you use them we could meet up.

Hi boys, glad to see your still looking Oldfart.

As far as I know we only have two dealers in UK .Do you know differently? Would be great to have a ride out If we can get enough together to make it a real show. It does seem we may have to wait awhile till we can persuade others to come on here and join the chat.

Heres hoping. Good riding. (110 but that was enough, still pulling like a train)

Pump Action Marine, Adrenalin ATV and Exeter Quads are all official Spyder dealers in the UK. Jetworks in Kent also sell them I think. Not sure about up north.
