• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi all", my name is Peter and I just purchased a Canam 2010 RT SE-5 Spyder and I was riding it to slowly in gears and i read on this website "do's and Don't for new Spyder riders. It seems weird to me riding it with the RPM's above 4300 in each gear but it rides smoother and none of that humming sound when in 5th gear now because I don't ride it in 5th gear unless I am on the freeway and the freeway has a speed limit of 110 KPh. I got a lot to learn about riding the Spyder.

regards Peter

I thought that was the biggest hurdle....getting used to running higher RPMs. It's all good from now on:yes:

Welcome

Welcome to the wonderful world of Spyders Peter. Your well on your way to the coolest ride around.

:welcome: and :congrats: on buying your Spyder. I never did like the high-rev requirements of the 990 engine, but I loved ryding my Spyder. Now that I have a '14 with a 1330cc engine, I'm much happier . . . if that could be possible! :2thumbs:

Yes now that you have mastered the RPMs you will enjoy your Spyder a lot more. Post early and post often, we want know what's going on down there and welcome to this bunch of loonies.

Peter,

:welcome: and glad you found this # 1 site. Ask questions we are here to help. Let the farkling, smiles, miles begin. Deanna

Hi Peter, best of luck with your new machine! What part of Australia are you riding? Probably never get there myself but, looking at maps and learning a bit is the next best thing. Not! :D
