• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

greetings all,

I'm located SW of Fort Worth, TX. Lots of great riding here. Just bought my first Spyder 2 weeks ago. 2015 RS SM5 with 8,500 miles. Original owner cannot ride anymore. Like EIWarrior and probably lots of others, I became disabled from sudden balance loss and sold all my bikes 4 years ago. A slow recovery, but feel I'm ready to get back on a tri-cycle. So far so good on short rides. In the first two weeks of ownership, in order to smooth out the ride and minimize head movements, I've already changed front tires to Farroad 165/65/r15 in front (yes 65s, they fit) and Kumho Ecsta 225/50/r15 in rear. Also, I rigged up a way to check toe-in/out and made that adjustment. FYI, I also made a homemade rig to balance the rear wheel. Tire shop couldn't do it as my rim is a one-piece design (hub doesn't unbolt). The bump steer improved significantly! I found an almost new br sway bar kit here at SL, so that's on the way. I can't keep up with my wife on the twisties with her 2-wheeler yet, but that's not what the Spyder is for. The fun factor is there and it's improving my recovery. I'm loving it!

TeeJay, Welcome to SpyderLovers. As for your Spyder you will love your Spyder more and more you ride. I always say ride safe, always wear your safety gear, watch out for cagers and 18 wheelers. Almost forgot, watch out for junk, potholes and road kill, skunks will make your ride a little stinky. Most of all have a great time riding your Spyder.
