• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

My Introduction

Hello,

I am 69 years old with 56 years of two wheeled riding experience, 48 on Harleys. I raced the Grand National Enduro Circuit as an "A" class rider in the 70's. Raced armature Flat-Track and TT, Single Cylinder class. I have had Suzukis, Penton/KTMs, Rokon, Yamaha, Harley and now Can-Am. I currently have a 2019 Yamaha Super Tenere, and just traded in my 2011 Harley Electra Glide Ultra Ltd for a 2024 Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky. I came to the realization that I just can't handle the weight of the Harley anymore (artificial knee and hip, back is held together with screws and pins). Briefly looked at a Harley trike, then took a look at the Can-Am during Demo Days at a local dealer two weeks ago and feel in love. I don't think I will miss the Harley at all.

Usually do a week-long ride a few times year with my riding buddy of several decades. And a couple of week-long trips a year with my wife on the back of the Harley. This will be a new year; I lost my wife of almost 50-years in April. So I lost my back-seater.

Sorry for your loss, I do hope that riding on without your back-seater after so many years isn't too hard to handle. :(

I keep telling people that 'you don't get too old & stop riding; but rather you stop riding & you get old!' :lecturef_smilie:

So Welcome to SpyderLovers and with any luck, the Miles of Smiles that most of us find Spyder Riding brings! :welcome: And Congrats on your new Spyder too! :congrats:
