• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Welcome aboard Jeff! :welcome:

It won't be too long before all your joining processing is finalised (it rarely takes more'n a day ;) ) - your username will turn Blue like SpyderBOT's once it's all cleared, and then you'll be able to post out on the more frequented public pages & ask your questions.

Still, in the meantime, you could always check out the links in SpyderBOT's post above, lotsa good value in them. ;) Maybe you could also do some searching & reading on any other questions you might have - there's not too much about Spyders that hasn't been at least touched upon in the threads & posts here on the Forum already!

Besides, it always pays to do a bit of searching before starting a new thread - too many threads on the same thing can make it impossible to find anything specific on the subject (just look at all the oil & tire threads we already have!! We are trying to rationalise them tho! :sour: ) but do check the dates an older thread started & the dates of the last few posts in a thread before you add/post a question in them - a bit of thread archeology is fine, especially if it adds to the knowledge & experience base in there; and we do try to keep all the discussion in a topic in the existing threads; but asking a question of someone who hasn't been around for years (or maybe even over a decade! ) probably won't get any response!

Looking forward to seeing you out there & posting soon! :2thumbs:
