• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Glad to be her

Well after many years on two wheels (Victorys) we traded for a new Spyder Sea to Sky. My maiden voyage was exactly one week ago and for the first 15-20 miles I felt like I was all over the road, then it got better. Another short ride a few days later and it was noticeable better on my part. I finally felt comfortable enough to bring the wife along and we put 300 miles on over this past weekend in the Blackhills of South Dakota. I progressed the second day to some tighter-twisty roads with switchbacks and it was the most enjoyable trip on that stretch of road I have EVER had. I got to enjoy it and look around more so, than when riding a bike. We have a cabin in the Blackhills and ride a great deal there in the summer as well as the Hill Country in Texas during the winter. The wife was really struggling to get on and off the bike with her arthritis, which made it difficult for me to hold the bike up during the process. She was willing to give up riding but she loves it as much or more than I do and I didn't want to continue riding without her. So we checked out the Spyder. We looked at them about 5 years ago and she did not care for it. But the newer, longer RT, especially the Sea & Sky with premium seat was much to our liking. We actually have more room now than we did on our previous bike and the ride quality is better.

We are excited about our new ride and look forward to meeting other Spyder riders in the are. Rick (rickster) and Mary Thompson

Welcome to the forum Rickster308. I hope you enjoy it. :congrats: On the new 2021 Sea to Sky!! You can find lots of good information here on the Spyder in the different areas of the forum. Make sure and post a photo of your new ride in the Spyder garage area of the forum when you are able to. Spyders take a little getting use to but once you get use to it, it's all smiles from there. Nice knowing that the bike will hold you up when you come to a stop and it always ready to go with a twist of the throttle. I hope to see you around the forum soon. :2thumbs:
