• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

shaking front

Hello All Spyder Lovers.
I have been trying to find out answers to a question that possibly someone might have experienced. We have a 2022 Spyder RT. It has been fine since 2022 until about 2-3 months ago when braking the front left tire and fender starts shaking. It runs perfectly fine until you touch the brake then it starts to shake. The right side doesnt. Just the left side. The handlebar doesn't either. Just the fender/tire. We took it to the shop where we purchased for normal oil change/inspection and they took the front all apart and nothing was loose, nothing was bent, nothing was rusty or warped. They had no idea. They contacted BRP which in turn said they have never heard of anything and would return message if they found out anything, which of course 2 weeks ago never did. So at this point in time we are baffled as to what it might be and I was wondering if anyone might possibly have an idea.
Thank you to all for any and all ideas you may have

Hi pearl, welcome to the Forum. Right now, your joining processing hasn't been fully completed, so as SpyderBOT sorta points out in his post, there's no benefit in you posting questions here where few will ever see them and even fewer ever be likely to answer. :banghead:

So please, be patient, it rarely takes too long for all your joining processing to be finalised, very rarely longer than a day. Once that's all done, your username will turn Blue, like SpyderBOT's, and you'll be able to post out in the more frequented areas of the Forum.

However, what you describe is quite a common issue, and it's been addressed in more than one thread on the boards already; so I'd strongly suggest that you do a little searching and some reading on how others have resolved this! :lecturef_smilie:

Thst said, my first instinct would be to look at the tire itself (the OEM Spec Kendas really don't qualify as being all that good, 'crap' being a frequently used but somewhat over-kind descriptor, and they often have manufacturing issues resulting in just this sorta thing! :cus: ) So I'd initially just check that the rim & disc is seated properly; all the lug nuts are done up evenly and torqued correctly; and only then move on to looking for any abnormal tread wear, maybe even go so far as getting both front wheels balanced properly (ie, NOT by a Can Am Dealer, not unless they've been recommended by quite a few others as being good with wherls, balancing, and alignment!) From there, you move on into more difficult to pin down issues, like discs/disc run-out, poor wheel alignments, and all sorts of other stuff - but there's HEAPS already on the Forum about this, all you need to do is search and read. ;)

Now that you've made this post here, as soon as your username turns Blue, you should be able to PM - so if you have any hassles getting search to work for you drop me a PM & I'll see what I can do to help!

And again, :welcome: :welcome:
