• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

You won't be able to post out in the more frequented public pages of the Forum until all of your registration processing is complete, at which time your username will turn blue, like SpyderBOT's. ;)

This is largely because very few people come in here to see who's just arrived, and besides, we've got Forum sections & sub-forums out in the more frequented pages to help keep all the related info together, including some specific to the various models - not that that'll make too much difference to you/those questions, cos your RT will be pretty much the same as every other RT up until the end of 2013; and the 998 V-twin engine is effectively the same as every other GS, RS, RSS, ST, and all the pre-2014 RT Spyders, so the answers for any of those will apply. :yes:

But all of those questions you've posted above have been asked and answered in varying degrees already a number of times (after all, the Forum has been around since about the first Spyder's release, so there's not much that hasn't been asked, discussed, and answered at least once already! :rolleyes: ), so if you want to do some searching and reading in the meantime (upper Right of every page, just below the Lamonster Garage logo. ;) ) you'll probably save yourself a bunch of time instead of sitting around waiting for replies once your registration is complete & you can post out there. :thumbup:
