• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi All, I have only recently purchased my 2016 Spyder F3 S and love the ride. I am from the East Coast of Australia and based in Sydney.
I am keen to find out if there are other Sydney siders, Since purchasing i have now done 2500K's . Brisbane to Sydney was my first ride, having purchased this from a young 80-year-old. He was sad but pleased his love would go to a good home. I have a lot to learn. The manual is helpful, but can't beat experience.
I am sure that many of you have some great tips and they would be welcomed. I am a young 72 year old married male and my wife is waiting for me to have more experience, before riding with me.

Welcome Aboard Lesue! :welcome:

There's a few Ozzie's around here, altho I'm a little bit of a way away from Sydney, over in South Oz down near Adelaide, but I'm pretty sure there's others closer. ;) Pogo is one member here who instantly comes to mind, and I just checked - he's been on the Forum in just the last month or so, so he's still around the place & checking in occasionally. :ohyea:

There's others, most of the names I've remembered off the top of my head are no longer active here, but they could well be riding their Spyders still - there's well over 10,000 of us in Oz these days, so dome of them have gotta be in/around Sydney &/or NSW.

Back a few years ago when I was involved with helping to run our Aussie Spyder Musters, we were easily getting 120+ bikes, with maybe 1/2 of them coming from your neck of the woods to each Muster. These days, the Musters aren't quite the same, but this year's Muster is gonna be held 6-8 Sept at Bathurst, so not far from you; & next year's (2025) Muster is gonna be in Tasmania! Well worth trying to get to one, even if just to meet other Spyder Ryders - there's some info about them here - check it all out: https://spydermuster.com.au/

It won't take too long for all your joining processing to be finished (it rarely takes much more'n a day or so! ) and once your username turns Blue (like SpyderBOT's) to show that's happened, you'll be able to PM & post out on the rest of the Forum; so maybe you could add to one of the existing threads or start your own thread in the Australia section of the Can Am Spyder & Ryker Riding Clubs sub-forum?? :dontknow:
